Step 2: Start your Cloud Shell

In the upper right hand corner of your IBM Cloud Dashboard, you'll see a small terminal icon:

This is your IBM Cloud Shell. It provides an easy shell environment to get started on our lab without dealing with a lot of environment configuration. Since environment configuration is machine-specific, it would take a long time to get each workshop participant's environment set up equally. By using the IBM Cloud Shell, we can bypass these configuration steps.

Please note that when the Cloud Shell exits, any work in the Cloud Shell will be lost. In a production environment, you would complete your local machine configuration.

Once you have launched the Cloud Shell, you're ready to proceed!
